□ Correct job and revision

Confirm project identity, issue purpose, revision and the current source information. Withdraw superseded workshop copies.

□ Dimensions and orientation

Check overall dimensions, levels, reference datums, units, handedness and views against the approved design information.

□ Members and materials

Check section, grade, finish, lengths, quantities and marks. Confirm that the material list agrees with the drawings and model.

□ Connections and interfaces

Review plate and hole dimensions, bolt and weld information, clearances and interfaces against the responsible designer’s requirements.

□ Independent issue review

Resolve queries, obtain the required professional review and record who checked and authorised the issue. A clear drawing is not proof that the structure has been designed or certified.
