□ Record the work

Have all workshop, travel and site hours been allocated to the correct job? Separate original scope from variations.

□ Check labour cost

Use an actual cost rate or a clearly labelled estimate. A charge-out rate measures recovery; it is not the wage cost or profit.

□ Reconcile purchases

Include materials, subcontractors, plant, transport and waste. Avoid counting both a purchase and the same stock issue twice.

□ Review revenue

Separate quoted value, agreed variations, issued invoices and cash received. They answer different questions.

□ Make missing costs visible

Record overhead assumptions, rework and unallocated time. Keep tax treatment consistent; do not mix gross and net figures.

□ Choose one action

Record the job, the issue, who owns the action and when it will be checked. A useful review ends with a decision.
